RSIC Launches Mileage, Time and Location Tracking Solution for BlackBerry
(PRWEB) June 27, 2008 -- Netherlands based firm RSIC today launched a new BlackBerry application called BlackBox, aimed at organizations that want to keep track of the billable time, mileage and related costs and revenue of their organization members. The application offers a project based structure with an easy learning curve, allowing users to start tracking their time and mileage on their BlackBerry straight away.
BlackBox is agnostic of the type of BlackBerry used: the application functions on both BES as well as BIS devices, taking full advantage of the secure E-mail transport facilities offered by the BlackBerry platform.
The application offers reporting in .csv (semicolon separated) and Excel compatible .xls formats, by default and other reporting formats can be made available upon client request. Processing of reported BlackBox data can either be done manually or automated, using additional software, allowing data to be inserted in virtually any backend database system available.
Besides extensive mileage and time tracking, BlackBox can function as an out-of-the-box and low-cost location tracking solution, allowing organizations to keep track of the current location of their organization members, with default support for location viewing on Google Maps as well as the BlackBerry Maps application. If combined with automated processing of BlackBox data, this functionality can be employed for a host of applications, ranging from real-time location tracking of multiple users to automated dispatching solutions.
Customization of BlackBox is possible at an hourly tariff or for purchases larger than 1000 licenses. BlackBox retails for a price of ? 49.49 per user and comes with a free and fully functional 14 day trial period. BlackBox is distributed world-wide by either RSIC or RSIC partners.
